On the outskirts of the buzzing city of Ocho Rios along a quiet strip in, rests a getaway that has welcomed numerous elite guests:

Moxons Beach Club resort. Comfortable room accommodations,   choice of pool lounging terrace and beach jetties, restaurant and bar areas are main attractions on-site.  The Restaurant property was built by Englishman Timothy Moxon, it evolved into a hub for international stars in the 1970s. The dining space overlooking the azure Caribbean Sea lured the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Mick Jagger, Boy George, and Bob Marley, just to mention just a few. ​

Current owner, Johanne MacDonald, is a former figure of the Canadian/ American entertainment industry. She was involved in the late 80’s & 90’s in restoring the Art Deco buildings of South Beach, in Miami Florida.  However after 20 years, The soaring of its popularity and Miami populace prompted Johanne to seek a more peaceful home, which she found in Jamaica Moxons of Boscobel Restaurant. Following the destructive Florida hurricane Ivan in 2004, Johanne purchased the dilapidated restaurant along with the neighboring house ,  building a Hidden gem Boutique 25 room Hotel.   Johanne made a name for herself within the community, hiring mostly neighborhood residents . She was the architect the contractor and teacher to the town laborers who  became qualified tradesmen. Ms Mac as they called her, ran her 100-man crew for 2 years around the clock working 3 shifts, often getting covered in cement & paint herself.   She’s also a resident who can often be seen around the property chatting with guests, some who’ve grown to become longtime friends of Moxons Beach Club as she now calls it.. The four-tier property sits on the face of a cliff, granting sweeping views of the seemingly-endless sea.

An assortment of 25 Boutique rooms  facing the sea or courtyard views. Even at full capacity, a part of Moxons’ charm is making you feel like you’re on a private getaway with the whole place to yourself! A handful of parking spots are available directly in front of the gated entrance, parking for 4-5 vehicles can fit in the carport.  Check in area, a souvenir gift shop and gym are available.

Where would you prefer to rest your head? Whether it be in a room facing the courtyard  or Ocean view rooms with sizeable private balconies that grant an incomparable view of the water.

Each unique accommodation includes a number of slumber choices such as Twin beds, queen, or king-sized rooms.
